Ruth Alders – was in Epworth League with us (I THINK)
Eliz Anderston & Lester Ancerson were parents of Betty Anderson (I THINK)
Eliz & Lester were divorced and Lester moved across street and lived with his brother Sander (Janes Father) and Wilz married Pat McCallion. Pat at one time was on the Broadway Stage and also was a Star Foot Ball Player at Lakewood High School, even tho he only weighed about 130 pounds. He had a new stand on and St. Lillian Axel – inventor of Pine Needle Taffy. (I THINK)
Bob Bedell – was a Policeman in Lakewood for a number of years and then was a Clerk at Ocean Co. Court House. His wife Mae was sister to Jack Mills wife. (I THINK)
Geo Benson came from the Jackson Township area and was good friends of Pop and Joel even when they were young. He moved to Florida when he retired and was electrocuted while helping a neighbor install an attic fan. (I THINK)
Clarence Booth built an atomic bomb proof home on Mass. Ave. after WWII. (I THINK)
Oscar Brower – Cokey’s Father – ended up with diabetes and had both legs removed. (I THINK)
Dlson Brown – First time I ever saw his names spedded right.
Amos Camp – lived on Corner Ridge and Westwood Ave. – He had the first Radio I ever heard. Was the second Dempsey – Tunney fight, about 1928. He sold his house to “Sweetcake” Thomas the man who discovered Eds Pool – Ed being his first name. the only other Persons I ever knew who knew where Ed’s Pool was, Ed, Pop, Joel & Harrison. There many have been others. (I THINK)
Bill Chadwick – owed Pop so much money on his rocery bill his wife wanted to give Pop the deed to their house, Pop didn’t take it. Bill Chadwick, also, built new steps on the store to work off some of his grocery bill. Took him months; Harrison was his helper. (I THINK)
Joe Housen – Ducky’s & George’s Father drank a little. (I THINK)
Joseph Johnson – is that guy that was always in our cellar? I think he was shacking up with Bessie Parmentier – both lived at 322 Ridge Ave.
Don’t know any W.H. Marks but Fred Marks lived at about that address. He was Father of Katherine, the School Teacher and had a Billiard Parlor on 2nd St. (I THINK)
John Naylor had a son called Toady. But I don’t know way.
Percy Smith – painted fake doors on the back of his house and much time was spent trying to find the fight door to knock on. (I THINK)
Bob Smith – at one time demonstrated Lincoln cars to Potential Customers for a Dealer. Had to learn how to shift gears without the Customer feeling it.
Bob also was Chauffuer for Arther Brisbane a noted Newspaper Columnist who became a Millionaire with Land Sales to the State for Route # 34. (I THINK)
Ezekial Thomas – I guess we all knew him. Wasn’t he the Father of Bill – Grace – & Lillian; and Grandfather of Beyy Margerum?
Pop had a big Silver Colored Folding Key for this store on Ridge Ave. the last time he locked the door he threw the key in Lake Carasaljo. (I THINK)
Y.M.C.A. I spend a lot of time there playing Basketball, Bowling, etc. Then in the ‘50s Pop was made a Director and they were trying to get more people to use the “Y” so every Monday Night, Karl, George, Clark, Pop, & Me would go there and we would Shoot Pool or Play Shuffle Board. (I THINK)
